Travel not for the sake of comfort
Travel for the sake of curiosity
I came to a place where people live high up the mountains, colorful people, dedication to Buddhism. Many times it bothers me why such a place which used to be a country has become strict and tense. Yet the fascinating thing is, they are still living their way of life happily. The path to happiness and understanding has reached to these simple people i have met throughout this journey. Freedom has been compromised for them but yet they still remain who they are. But i fear, as years goes by, their culture and heritage will soon be gone.
It was pretty much a tense experience at times, at the same time nervous as you hear stories about the news saying about Tibet messing things up, but when i was in there, everything was the opposite. There were many things i witness and, it became a lesson to me, a reflection of things in life.
Our journey was from Lhasa to Kanding via a domestic flight, i realized Tibet is a huge state. Where i have went to, it's just the western side of Tibetan Plateau nearing to Sichuan Province. There was a need, an urge that i have to explore more these places while it's still untouched.
Initially i was here for the landscape but in the end, a landscape without the stories made by these people, would be an empty photo. They have blended in so much into the hills and mountains, but yet there are people who comes into Tibet, still remain ignorant about their lives and how they have lived. Throughout these pictures, i have written down what i have know or see. It's a place where i do not mind going again and again.
